Scrapball [WIP]
Scrapball is a brick-breaker game in the style of the mythical "Arkanoid" by Taito, although with a change in its gameplay: the game DOES NOT CONSIST of breaking ALL the bricks, but our mission will be to eliminate a kind of colored artifacts called "viruses".
HOW TO PLAY?
To begin with, our "floor" can withstand a certain amount of hits from our ball or enemy shots (there are power-ups that will repair it). We can stop the enemy shots with our ship or destroy them with our lightning to prevent them from damaging our protective soil. If this floor is destroyed and the main ball falls, we will lose a life.
Colored plasma balls will appear from the top of the screen from time to time; well, you must shoot them with your beam (SPACE key) to change the ball to its color, which will now be able to eliminate the viruses (they are static mechanisms) of the same color. But you will have to be careful not to touch them with your ship, since you will leave the ball in a 'null' color that will not be able to destroy any virus until you shoot another plasma ball. Although, sometimes, picking them up can benefit you (or not) since they will generate a small quake that will influence the direction of the ball. And that's what the game will consist of: cleaning each level of those "viruses".
THE OLD WAY
Scrapball is created in the arcade coin-op style, so you will have 3 credits/coins to complete it. Each credit grants you 3 lives, although you can collect more on your way.
The game only has 3 basic keys (left, right and fire), the rest of the keys can be seen in the main menu (wait a few seconds) and also while playing (by pressing the TAB key). In addition, you also have a built-in hi-scores table to put your name on it. Oh, and you can also play with Joystick/Gamepad!
MORE THINGS
There are more than 10 different enemies, to which we must add various mechanisms, such as black holes that deflect the ball, bubbles that absorb it and then throw it in a random direction, teleporting doors, cannons that damage the ground, bricks that appear and disappear, and more!
